What Does a Doula Do?

I provide continuous emotional + physical support throughout pregnancy and delivery. I share information about pregnancy, labor and beyond so that the mother is informed + empowered to make decisions about her health care needs and wants. We'll work closely to develop a suite of tools and techniques you can use to cope in labor.

What are the benefits of having a doula?

According to a 2013 Cochrane Database Systematic Review, “continuous support during labour has clinically meaningful benefits for women and infants and no known harm. All women should have support throughout labour and birth.” (Dona International; 2017)
